(MissionNewswire) Don Bosco Animation and Research Kendra, located in Palam, New Delhi, India, has successfully reached nearly 30,000 students across India through its nationwide DAAD Revolution Program, which works to promote kindness and social responsibility with youth.

The Don Bosco organization conducted the DAAD Revolution Program in Ranchi, Jharkhand, during April and May 2026, engaging 13,771 students from 42 schools and educational institutions. Combined with earlier programs conducted in Punjab and Rajasthan in March, the movement has directly impacted 29,602 students nationwide.

A Salesian explained, “The program was launched in response to growing concerns over the erosion of human and moral values in society. The initiative seeks to counter rising trends of violence, corruption, dishonesty, intolerance and self-centeredness by encouraging young people to become agents of positive social change.”

The acronym DAAD stands for “Do An ARK a Day”, with ARK referring to “An Act of Random Kindness.” Rooted in the values of love of God and love of neighbors, the movement encourages students to perform at least one act of kindness every day and make compassion a regular part of their lives.

Through interactive sessions, students were encouraged to cultivate values such as kindness, forgiveness, justice, equality, inclusiveness and social responsibility. The program highlighted how simple acts, such as helping classmates, respecting parents and teachers, supporting friends during difficult times, assisting those in need, and offering words of encouragement, can create a ripple effect that positively transforms families, schools, communities, and society.

A key message of the program is that kindness transcends barriers of caste, religion, language and social status. By fostering mutual respect and solidarity, the movement aims to build stronger communities and contribute to a more harmonious society.

According to the organizers, the program’s long-term vision is to mobilize millions of youth across India and to create a culture in which genuine human and spiritual values guide personal and social conduct.

The Salesian noted, “The students’ response was overwhelmingly positive. Participants actively engaged in discussions, shared practical ways to promote kindness in their daily lives and expressed their commitment to becoming ambassadors for positive change. Organizers noted that the students’ enthusiasm and sincerity reflected values of honesty, service, respect, empathy, and concern for others.”
