INDIA: Student leaders act as stewards for nature

Eco Pals holds workshop for 300 student leaders
(MissionNewswire) Eco Pals, part of the Don Bosco Green Alliance, organized a day-long workshop on eco-leadership for the student leaders of Jyoti Nivas College, located in Bangalore, India. Led by Father Anil D’sa, Eco Pals conducted activity-based sessions on caring for the Earth for 300 student leaders of the college. They pledged to take care of nature and capitalize on the opportunities they have as leaders in various associations.
The workshop was designed to build bonds between the leaders and create a favorable attitude toward nature and humanity. The Eco Pals tagline, “Small actions, big difference,” was echoed throughout the session. Students had the opportunity to see how small actions can create a positive impact for nature and humanity.
A Salesian noted, “The workshop culminated in all the students becoming members of Eco Pals by each planting a plant. Saplings were distributed to all the students and the Eco Pals team assisted the students while motivating them to be nature-friendly leaders.”
