TANZANIA: Socio-sporting school educators receive training

Coaches and educators from the Real Madrid Foundation's socio-sporting schools in Tanzania received training in soccer, basketball and values during in-person sessions facilitated by the foundation. Since 2019, 180 youth from Don Bosco Oysterbay Vocational Training Center in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, have been receiving values-based training through sport thanks to a partnership between Real Madrid Foundation and the Salesian Missions Office in Madrid, Spain.

Salesian Missions joins humanitarian organizations and countries around the globe in recognizing World Day Against Trafficking in Persons. In 2013, United Nations member states adopted a resolution that designated July 30 as the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons. The day aims to raise awareness about the victims of human trafficking and promote and protect their rights.

ITALY: ‘Salesian Solidarity with Italy: the Emergency Response to COVID-19′ project made possible through USAID supports migrant youth

Salesian Missions facilitates the “Salesian Solidarity with Italy: the Emergency Response to COVID-19” project. The project is made possible with support from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), the U.S. Government’s main development agency operating in more than 100 countries worldwide. The project aimed to impact more than 24,000 people including students and other young people, teachers, families, and migrants and refugees.
